Salary:
$3,477.00 – $4,632.00 Monthly (plus 5% King County duty station pay)
Work hours:
Standard full‑time hours with partial telework flexibility.
Job Overview The South Puget Sound Region Finance team needs a detail‑oriented Analyst to manage accounts payable, payroll, and related financial activities for approximately 250 employees across multiple counties.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process vendor and employee payment claims per DNR and co‑operator agreements, SDOE contracts, OFM, internal DNR policy, and vendor terms.
Verify and reconcile semi‑monthly payroll for approximately 250 permanent and part‑time employees.
Administer credit card accounts for SPS Region Purchasing & Fuel Cards.
Complete daily deposit of all cash and checks received at the region office.
Assist with fiscal reporting, analysis, and ad‑hoc financial requests from program stakeholders.
Coordinate with Payroll, Fire Cost Analysts, and Assistant Region Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
One year of fiscal technical experience.
Experience with Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience with payroll and accounts payable functions.
Proficiency with M365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies, and laws – GAAP.
Ability to make decisions within delegated authority.

Desired Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
Knowledge of DNR or OFM financial policies and procedures.
Experience using SAP (NaturE or HRMS).
Experience with government fiscal operations.
Proficiency in learning business computer software systems.
Experience compiling financial analysis reports.
Special Requirements & Conditions of Employment
Work in an office setting; tasks include standing, walking, moving records, and occasional stair use.
Minimal travel; occasional training or meetings outside the region, including possible fire activity attendance.
