Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Continued employment for this role will be dependent on ability to meet customer security requirements, including requirement to provide a valid passport for site access.

Responsibilities

Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates at peak efficiency.

Perform planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response.

Serve as technical resource reporting to a program manager and interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third‑party vendors.

Act as singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and support operated data centers.

Maintain data center equipment uptime better than 99.999%.

Meet all requirements of CET1.

Utilize safe working practices; apply lockout/tagout, SDS, good housekeeping methods, etc.

Use common administrative and office software.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, mechanical riser drawings, OEM operating and maintenance instructions, job specifications, and MOP/SOPs.

Use hand tools and test equipment to install, troubleshoot, and repair parts under CET2 classified procedures, logging activities in CMMS.

Assist a CET3/4 technician with CET3 classified procedures and transfer knowledge to other technicians.

Conduct daily walk‑throughs of facility documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature, humidity, and alarm status.

Be conversant in site‑specific processes and procedures for reporting incidents, executing PM standards, CMMS standards, SharePoint use, etc.

Action all site primary and secondary EOPs, mastering the first responder role during emergencies.

Complete drills associated with site primary and secondary EOPs.

Understand operation, isolation, and start‑up of MV/LV Distribution Boards, MV/LV Breakers, UPS, Generator, Batteries, STS, ATS, AHU, DX units, Chillers, Evap Washer Systems, CRAC Units, Fuel Systems, ASCO Systems, BMS, EPMS, and Fire Alarm System.

Navigate BMS and EPMS systems, interpret alarms, and perform controlled shutdowns/start‑ups/equipment rotations.

Disable and enable fire alarm control panels and systems (if applicable).

Maintain maintenance records per City, State, and EPA regulations.

Interpret building codes and local/federal regulations and apply them to installations.

Identify required materials and parts for maintenance and repair.

Diagnose heating system components and perform routine maintenance.

Diagnose refrigeration cycles and perform routine maintenance.

Apply knowledge of power density and HVAC capacities, cooling, and heat‑load calculations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum 6+ years experience with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications

Possess a Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license, or equivalent.

Abilities

Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; demonstrate physical strength and stamina.

Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.

Work at heights up to 60 ft; climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.

Perform repetitive movements: walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead.

Have good vision (corrected if necessary) and hearing; communicate in English.

Use a standard ladder within weight limit while carrying tools.

Detect potential problems early; recognize when something is likely to fail.

Apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers.

Combine pieces of information into general rules or conclusions.
