Responsibilities
Collect corrugated waste throughout plant and determine if board can be salvaged. Operate the shredder/baler to dispose of unsalvageable board.
Read and understand safety rules and housekeeping guidelines; receive training in proper operating procedures.
Operate fork truck; use hearing protection, safety shoes, moving machinery precautions, conveyor safety, lifting and pushing/pulling techniques, emergency stops, safe handling around shredder/baler, and personal protective equipment.
Perform daily cleanup of area, dump trash as needed and maintain neat & orderly area.
Separate salvageable stock from bad; sort salvageable stock for pads and slit material.
Shred and bale onto rail car; load bales onto rail car; weigh, tag and log bales.
Load wire spools on baler; unjam system if clogged.
Operate computer input terminal, fork truck, shredder/baler.
Ensure no waxed board is processed adversely and communicate verbally and written as required.
Qualifications
Ability to read, write and do basic math.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Certification as a fork truck operator.
Requirements Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
