Responsibilities Lead Team Member General Summary
The Lead Team Member maintains a clean, well‑organized store and creates a customer‑first culture through exceptional store standards. Duties include assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store and performing other duties assigned by the Store Team Leader to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.
Provide superior customer service and exceed expectations.
Model product knowledge and selling techniques.
Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organized store environment.
Assist in merchandising the store to attract and retain customers.
Rotate product to create eye‑catching displays and drive sales.
Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Operate cash register and scanner, collect payment, make change and bag merchandise.
Assist customers in self‑checkout process at multiple registers.
Open and close the store under the guidance of the Store Team Leader.
Perform additional duties as necessary in the absence of the Store Team Leader.
Qualifications
Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandising guides.
Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
Experience with cash register functions.
Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and kneeling.
Handling merchandise and equipment (scanners, pricing guns, dollies).
Lift up to 40 lbs routinely, occasional up to 55 lbs.
Occasional climbing (ladder) and driving.
Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise.
Exposure to strong scents and weather conditions.
