Job Title : Production Operator – Wave Soldering

Job Overview
The Wave Soldering Operator is responsible for the pre‑inspection, set‑up, cleaning, and operation of the wave soldering machine and reports to the Production and Warehouse Operations Manager at Unigen HQ, Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Perform wave soldering.
Perform pre‑inspection and set‑up of the wave soldering machine.
Prepare board and wave fixtures for operation.
Perform a visual inspection of the board for a good solder joint and ensure components are inserted correctly per working instructions/MPI.
Add flux for consistency, purge, clean, and recharge the system as required.
Check work in progress for top soldering, bridges, pinholes, and other defects to maintain quality standards.
Clean boards using DI and/or chemical wash and equipment as required.
Inspect and report post‑wave solder results against predetermined standards.
Execute written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor and monitor the efficiency and quality of assigned routine tasks.
Read and follow work instructions and visual aids in English.
Identify, communicate, and escalate wave soldering issues and problems.
Provide team support.
Demonstrate work methods to new hires.
Share best practices and assist in minor troubleshooting.
Actively participate in cross‑training.
Perform new responsibilities and tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma is desired.
Minimum 1–2 years of work experience in a manufacturing production environment.
