Family's Introduction to Nanny
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We know this is a big decision, and we are honored that you are considering spending your year with us. Both of us had au pairs when we were growing up, and they became like family. We still keep in touch with them, even many years later. They have visited us, and we have visited them. Sam even got to meet Julia, the au pair who lived with Alyssa’s family, and he loves hearing stories about when she lived with Mommy. Now, we are excited to host an au pair ourselves and welcome someone new into our lives.
We are the Levy family—Mike, Alyssa, and our two boys, Sam and Zack. We recently moved from New York City to a town called Westfield, New Jersey. Even though we have only been here a short time, we already love it. Westfield is a safe and friendly place with a fun downtown area that is just a short walk from our house. There are coffee shops, stores, restaurants, and parks all nearby. One of our favorite things about Westfield is that it is only 40 minutes away from New York City by train. We often go into the city for work, to visit museums with the kids, or to enjoy a night out together.
Sam is 4 years old and truly a joy to be around. He is sweet, calm, and loves to learn. He asks thoughtful questions, enjoys books, and is very curious about how things work. He is gentle with others, listens well, and forms strong connections with the adults in his life. He likes having a daily routine and feels happy when he knows what to expect.
Zack was born in August 2024. Even though he is only 8 months old, he already has such a big personality and is very curious about the world around him. He smiles at everyone and brings joy wherever he goes. The bond between Sam and Zack is very special. Sam is proud to be a big brother and is always kind and caring with him.
Mike works in business development at Amazon Web Services and works from home a few days each week. Alyssa plans events for Architectural Digest, Allure, and Glamour. Her schedule is flexible, so she can usually take Sam to school and be home for dinner with the family each evening. No matter how busy we are, spending time as a family is very important to us.
We decided to host an au pair because we want someone who can be part of our family. We are looking for a kind, responsible person who enjoys being with children and wants to build real relationships. In return, we will make sure you feel supported, included, and respected every day.
You will have your own private bedroom in our home with plenty of space and natural light. On weekends, we usually spend time together—going to the farmers’ market, playing outside, or visiting friends. You are always welcome to join us, but we also want you to have time to relax, take classes, or explore on your own.
