Hub Operator - Louisville or Portland (Sun-Wed 12pm to 10:30pm ET) United Tote , a leading B2B technology and service provider for the pari-mutuel gaming industry, is seeking an entry-level Hub Operator to support our Central Operations Team.

Job Summary Responsible for system monitoring, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer service by responding to inquiries via email and phone. The role requires working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Handle incoming calls from United Tote customers and field operations to troubleshoot communication equipment, consoles, terminals, tote boards, and auxiliary odds boards.

Act as a backup race track operator to ensure the integrity of the United Tote system.

Monitor error logs, system alerts, and communication networks; report errors per guidelines and escalations.

Enter data into the scheduling system and ensure accuracy.

Complete daily checklist tasks efficiently and accurately.

Serve as a project team member for assigned projects.

Perform User Acceptance Testing for new software versions.

Execute system configuration requests as assigned.

Monitor race processing for errors and provide preliminary troubleshooting; elevate when necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

At least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED.

Ability to obtain racing licenses as required and pass a background check.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude; remain calm under stress.

Independent self-starter with proven self-motivation and collaborative skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication; manage competing priorities and attention to detail.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

Experience configuring consoles, routers, port servers, switches, and printers.

Travel may be required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Work frequently involves sitting at a desk, using a computer keyboard, and being on the phone.

Hand usage includes typing, handling, and filing.

Reach with hands or arms; perform repetitive motion activities.

Vision requirements: close vision, color vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment.

Work effectively as part of a team; handle interruptions and changing priorities.

Need to anticipate and solve problems, analyze data, and meet schedules in a dynamic environment.

Average office noise level; typical office environment.
