JOB SUMMARY This entry‑level role is integral to the Central Operations Team. The Hub Operator monitors systems, troubleshoots issues, and provides a positive customer experience by resolving queries received through email and phone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle incoming calls from United Tote customers and Field Operations, providing professional, accurate, and efficient support for communication equipment, consoles, terminals, tote boards, and other related devices.
Act as a back‑up race track operator to ensure United Tote system integrity.
Monitor error logs, system alerts, and communication networks; report errors per guidelines and follow escalation protocols.
Enter and validate data in the scheduling system.
Complete all daily checklist tasks efficiently and accurately.
Participate in project teams for assigned initiatives.
Perform User Acceptance Testing for new software versions.
Process system configuration requests as assigned.
Monitor race processing errors, conduct preliminary troubleshooting, and, if necessary, escalated to the appropriate parties.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Required:
At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain racing licenses as required by state law and pass a background check.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Passionate problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills and a can‑do attitude; maintains a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
Independent self‑starter with proven self‑motivation and the ability to work professionally and collaboratively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to manage multiple or competing priorities with attention to detail.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with configuration of consoles, routers, port servers, switches, and printers.
Travel may be required.
