Position:
The Feed Mill Dispatcher will schedule and manage freight for the Chattanooga Feed Mill.
Responsibilities
Schedule and track shipments.
Dispatch and assign loads.
Address issues and requests, transmitting information or providing solutions.
Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
Use radio, phone, and computer to send crews and vehicles to appropriate locations.
Monitor route and status of trucks, coordinating and prioritizing.
Provide drivers with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements.
Enter data and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information.
Qualifications
2+ years of current dispatch experience in a similar trucking environment.
Proficient knowledge of shipping and receiving trucking operations.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic knowledge of technology and computer skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Sense of urgency.
