Shipping Coordinator - TX

CSI is looking for a Shipping Coordinator for our Grand Prairie, TX location. This position will provide day‑to‑day operational support of shipping functions across departments within CSI.
The Shipping Coordinator will sit in the warehouse environment as part of the warehouse team, specializing in shipment scheduling for both export and domestic shipments.
Candidate will have a general understanding of all aspects of logistics including importing, exporting, warehousing, multimodal transportation and general inventory control processes.

Salary: $22–$25 per hour.
Primary Functions
Work with purchasing, customer service, sales, warehouse and project management to coordinate international logistics services (including importing and exporting)
Create and foster relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs
Provide support for all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, general administrative duties and housekeeping
Coordinate international shipments for customers
International documentation
File all documents in the document management system
Schedule and order crates
Track shipments
Pull MTR’s for customers
Communicate with vendors to purchase and expedite drop ship and other pertinent items
Position Requirements
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, required
College degree or some college courses, desired
Experience
Good phone etiquette, required
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, required
Previous customer service experience, preferred
Previous purchasing experience, helpful
Industrial food or pharmaceutical experience, helpful
Epicor ERP 10 experience, preferred
More than 40 hours per week may occasionally be required to achieve the productivity necessary for this position.
Overnight travel, Saturday, Sunday and holiday hours may occasionally be required but are not anticipated for this position.
This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment (such as a phone, copier/fax/scanner, keyboard and mouse).
This position also requires the occasional ability to lift, stoop, bend, and lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
