General Facilities Maintenance Technician (USA)
Join us at Walmart to work as a General Facilities Maintenance Technician. This role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, and fixtures. You will work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following established maintenance schedules and guidelines, performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
Base pay range $19.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Position Requirements
18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
Can move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Able to work in various temperatures.
Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade OR 5 years experience in the same trades
Valid Driver’s License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). (optional)
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and tools.
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
