Position Summary... What you'll do... Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, or fixtures. You will operate under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, and conduct inspections, cleaning, and repair of facilities, equipment, or fixtures. Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or related trades) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
Can move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Able to work in various temperatures
Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR
Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
Preferred and Additional Qualifications
Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program or license in a related trade
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00 per hour (actual rate subject to minimum wage and location).
Bonus incentives may be available; details disclosed during interview.
