About the Role Illuminated Integration is seeking a Security Installation Technician to join our growing integrated security team. This hands‑on field position focuses on commercial security systems, including access control, CCTV, and related low‑voltage infrastructure, working on projects such as schools, higher education, corporate, public venues, and specialty facilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Install, terminate and test access control systems (panels, readers, door hardware, locks)
Install and commission CCTV / video surveillance systems
Pull and terminate low‑voltage cabling (CAT6, composite, control wiring)
Mount cameras, readers, enclosures and field devices
Assist with system checkout, testing and troubleshooting
Read and work from drawings, plans and scopes of work
Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other trades on‑site
Maintain clean, professional workspaces and documentation
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in commercial security or low‑voltage installation
Working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV / IP camera systems, low‑voltage cabling and terminations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts and active construction sites
Nice To Have (Not Required)
Experience with enterprise access control platforms
Camera system commissioning or troubleshooting experience
Door hardware experience
Manufacturer certifications
OSHA training
Network basics (IP addressing, PoE concepts)
