Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support a civil litigation practice handling matters in both New York State and Federal Courts. This role is best suited for someone who is highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines with minimal supervision. You will work closely with attorneys and play a meaningful role in the day-to-day progress of active litigation.

Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and format litigation pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence. Maintain and manage litigation files in compliance with court rules and internal procedures. Track and manage court deadlines, hearings, conferences, and motion schedules. Coordinate and organize discovery, document productions, and deposition materials. Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and evidence for hearings and trial. Handle NY State and Federal Court e-filing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Serve as a key point of contact with courts, clients, and opposing counsel. Conduct factual and legal research in support of active litigation matters.

Required Experience & Skills:

Prior experience supporting civil litigation matters in NY State and/or Federal Courts. Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, rules, and legal terminology. Proven experience with court e-filing systems (required). Proficiency in MS Office and legal document/document-management systems. Experience with Practice Master and NetDocuments preferred, not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters under strict deadlines.
