Overview
Responsible for analysing inventory and demand planning with the ERP system to ensure the correct stock is available at the correct time. This person provides leadership, assists the Materials Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Purchasing team in implementing best practices and VOS processes to standardise and improve the execution of PFEP and inventory practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct ABCXYZ analysis to classify parts within the warehouse to improve inventory turnover rate.
Lead PFEP working closely with Inventory Control Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, Kanban Coordinator and Purchasing.
Generate and support monthly material forecasting activities tied to inventory KPI’s.
Prepare presentations with monthly inventory results/KPIs.
Develop various inventory reports submitting on daily – monthly frequency to multiple departments.
Interface with Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Finance, and Project Delivery teams to decrease inventory value and increase ITO.
Identify and work cross‑functionally to resolve both ERP and supplier delivery issues that could impact inventory values held and ITO.
Participate in regular control point meetings to review performance and project progress within Materials Management team.
Assist with physical inventory as needed.
Analyse and improve performance vs the performance metrics.
Assist Materials Manager to drive and measure metrics that align with Vertiv goals.
Assist with Information Technology improvement implementation.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct superior.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or 7 years of equivalent experience.
Good Excel & MS Office knowledge.
English language skills required.
Preferred
Advanced analytical skills.
Lean experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with personnel to accomplish tasks.
Must be action‑oriented with an eye for finding an opportunity and solving problems.
Detail oriented with ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
