Role Overview Kelso Industries is expanding its Human Resources function and is seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Human Resources Manager. As a strategic business partner to leadership, you will guide complex employee matters, develop HR processes, people, and systems, and lead the HR team to shape the employee experience and strengthen organizational capability.
Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership
Partner with executive and operational leadership to align HR programs, workforce planning, and talent strategies with business goals.
Lead and develop the HR team, ensuring effectiveness, service delivery, and continued professional growth.
Analyze HR metrics, turnover data, market trends, and workforce planning needs to drive decision‑making and improvements.
Talent Development & Culture
Build and manage scalable performance management, career development, mentorship, and leadership development programs.
Foster a culture rooted in accountability, safety, teamwork, and professional growth.
Oversee employee engagement strategies including recognition programs, communication practices, and organizational development initiatives.
Employee Relations
Serve as the primary resource for complex employee relations issues, investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance challenges.
Provide coaching and HR advisory support to supervisors and management to build leadership capability.
Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment practices across the organization.
Compliance & HR Operations
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, I‑9, EEO, COBRA, USERRA, workers' compensation, and other regulatory requirements.
Lead HRIS optimization, process improvement initiatives, and digitalization strategies to enhance efficiency.
Additional Oversight
Support payroll and workers' compensation processes as needed.
Oversee annual employee communications, open enrollment, policy updates, and employee‑facing programs and events.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including people leadership and strategic partnership responsibilities; experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP or above) strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success building HR processes, systems, and programs in a growing or evolving organization.
Strong expertise in employee relations, leadership coaching, organizational development, and compliance.
Working knowledge of HRIS software; experience with ADP preferred.
Excellent communication, influence, and relationship‑building skills at all levels of the organization.
Highly organized, action‑oriented, and capable of balancing both strategy and execution.
Ability to manage confidential information with sound judgment and professionalism.
Occasional travel to job sites or regional offices as needed.
Work Location Mullins Mechanical office located in Carrollton, Georgia.
Salary Compensation commensurate with experience.
