SAIC is seeking an
Engineering Technician IV
to provide technical support for the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Systems Sustainment Branch in support of the AEA SUITE SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT (ASE) and related systems, subsystems, equipment and components. This position is on-site at
NSWC Crane, IN.
This position is 2nd shift, 1600 - 0030 (4:00pm – 12:30am).
Job Description:
Provides technical support for AEA systems/platforms to include the modification, maintenance, repair, and upgrade (MRU) of fielded EW systems and related Support Equipment.
Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment.
Installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying various types of equipment, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble‑shooting functions.
Troubleshooting and problem‑solving: Identifying and resolving issues/malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.
Testing and evaluation: Conducting tests and experiments, analyzing data, and documenting findings.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in related discipline and two (2) years or more of related experience or, High School graduate and four (4) years or more of related experience.
Position will require the candidate to hold a Secret Security Clearance. (Must possess Interim Secret clearance or higher to begin tasking.).
An understanding of electronics principles, mechanical systems.
Ability to read engineering diagrams and drawings.
Communication and teamwork skills: The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
Must be U.S. citizen.
Desired Experience:
Soldering experience. Preferably 7711/7721 Solder Certified or J-STD-001 Solder Certified.
Experience using hand tools.
