Overview:
A highly regarded national public accounting firm is seeking a
Senior Assurance Associate
to join its
Real Estate industry practice . This group serves a broad portfolio of clients, including
commercial real estate firms, REITs, developers, and affordable housing organizations . The firm offers robust industry training, career growth, and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as lead on audit engagements for real estate and construction-related clients
Manage day-to-day fieldwork, engagement execution, and client communications
Supervise, train, and review work of staff and interns
Participate in audit planning, budgeting, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and firm standards
Identify and address audit issues and provide recommendations to clients
Assist with internal initiatives related to the Real Estate industry group
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
3+ years of audit experience in public accounting preferred
Experience working with real estate, REITs, or affordable housing clients preferred
Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem‑solving skills
