About the Position of Automotive Mechanic
As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They handle undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks, perform state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair undercar components (brakes, struts, shocks, etc.)
Perform state‑mandated inspections and routine maintenance (oil, filters, fluids)
Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires
Maintain and update customer service records
Work safely while standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and lifting items over 50 lbs.

Qualifications
Minimum 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
At least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance
Extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift weights over 50 lbs.
Preferred: State inspection license(s)
Preferred: ASE Certifications – G1 (Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair), A4 (Suspension and Steering), A5 (Brakes)
