Position Overview
The
Driver/Transportation Coordinator
is responsible for coordinating and providing safe, timely transportation for residents to medical appointments, social outings, and facility‑related activities while delivering courteous, professional service.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate transportation for residents to medical appointments, social events, and other outings.
Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and facility policies.
Assist residents in and out of vehicles, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
Perform basic vehicle checks and coordinate routine maintenance to keep vehicles in safe working order.
Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff to confirm and update transportation needs.
Follow all healthcare, infection control, and transportation regulations and policies.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Current STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) certification required.
Previous experience as a driver, transportation aide, or similar role in healthcare preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to assist residents with mobility needs and perform light vehicle upkeep.
