Description The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for all task-based Central Services activities. Central Services activities include, but are not limited to: decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of Central Services supplies.

Required Qualifications

Coursework/Training and Completion of formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test

Upon hire:

National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association – or

National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

3 years of related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital sterile processing/central services environment

Preferred Qualification

Materials management and/or supply chain experience
