Due to tremendous growth, our Security division is currently seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician.
Primary Objectives of Position
Accountable for the proper and timely installation, wiring, programming, repair, and design‑layout of commercial electronic security systems, including access control, IP video, intrusion alarm, and other low‑voltage systems, to ensure quality product, client satisfaction, and profit objectives.
Program electronic security systems per the specifications and design while meeting code requirements.
Document system installation by updating design drawings and completing forms and reports.
Lead projects and direct less experienced technicians.
Perform service on security systems in a timely, professional, and quality manner.
Participate in the on‑call schedule for after‑hours service.
Present self to all customers in a professional manner to create and maintain good customer relations.
Participate in education and training classes.
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience installing electronic security systems to commercial end users.
Knowledge of integrated security, access control, IP video, intrusion, and other low‑voltage systems.
Proficient in installation methods, materials, wiring, building codes, and design standards.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Excellent communication skills required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and pass pre‑employment drug screening and background checks.
