Responsibilities
Assist our board-certified Ophthalmologist in performing eye examinations, diagnosing ocular conditions, and planning treatments.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Perform diagnostic tests including tonometry, fluorescein staining, digital imaging, and ultrasound as needed.
Monitor anesthetized patients during surgical procedures and assist in post-operative care.
Educate pet owners about eye health, treatment plans, and medication administration.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Participate in continuing education and stay updated on advancements in veterinary ophthalmology.
Ideal Candidate
High School diploma or equivalent;
Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) is preferred.
Experience in veterinary ophthalmology is a plus.
Ability to perform and monitor anesthesia.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort handling a variety of animals.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work holidays and on-call shifts.
