South Florida Roadway EIT/Designer
Join HDR as an employee‑owner on our Transportation Business Group, where you will help design rural and urban roadway projects in South Florida. Your work will support economic vitality, public safety, sustainability, and quality of life.
Responsibilities
Work with a team of project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
Lead development of roadway geometric design tasks, including alignments, profiles, and other roadway geometric elements.
Lead development of plans, design reports, design calculations, and construction cost estimates.
Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations.
Perform additional related duties as required to support project and team success.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
Proficiency with MicroStation and experience with highways and roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Infraworks, or Civil 3D.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
FDOT design experience strongly preferred.
Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar field.

– United States, Florida, West Palm Beach (primary). Other locations: Fort Lauderdale and Doral.
