Clinic Registered Nurse JMC Urgent Care

Overview Provides patient care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, performing a variety of clinical duties as part of the acute‑care team.
Responsibilities
Rooms and collects patient assessment data.
Administers injections and medications.
Performs other patient care procedures as directed and according to established criteria.
Assists provider during treatment, testing, and examinations.
Performs EKGs, simple lab tests and collects venous blood specimens.
Maintains timely flow of patients.
Provides patient and family education.
Documents patient care and related information.
Responds to incoming phone calls.
Performs telephone triaging of patients.
Follows up on patient care as needed.
Reviews and maintains charts.
Participates in quality and performance improvement.
May be required to work alternate shifts, weekends, or holidays.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred or candidate must enroll in an accredited BSN program upon hire.
Certification and Licensure Licensed RN in the state of practice; CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days; ACLS certification may be required.
Skills and Abilities Problem solving, technical skills, interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, language skills, mathematical reasoning, and computer proficiency. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Special Physical Demands Staff may stand, walk, sit, and use their hands frequently. Lifting up to 50 lbs and handling materials 25‑50 lbs is common. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perception.
