Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, Peachtree Dunwoody Clinic General Summary Of Duties
We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our advanced center for GI therapeutics. This APP will support gastroenterologists who perform complex endoscopic and therapeutic procedures including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Barrett’s esophagus ablation, and advanced GERD interventions. The role focuses on the comprehensive management of pancreaticobiliary disorders, advanced esophageal disease, and functional/structural foregut conditions across both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with advanced endoscopists, participate in pre‑ and post‑procedural care, and manage longitudinal care for complex GI patients. Responsibilities
Run daily GI outpatient clinic Accurately provide and counsel patients with information for medical treatment or procedures Answer emails, voicemails and return patient calls in a timely and efficient manner Abide by and promote HIPAA compliance; maintain strict confidentiality with regard to patient information Required Education, Skills, & Experience
Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience preferred, however new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications. Additional Skills And Experience
Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service at all times Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner Maintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkers Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers through telephone, email, and in person Interpret and apply clinical and non‑clinical policies and procedures Physical/ Mental/ Environmental Demands
