Compensation:
$24 - $31 per hour, based on relevant experience and certifications
This position is open to remote work. Candidates must be located within the state of Missouri.
JOB SUMMARY The Environmental Specialist I will be responsible for writing Phase 1 ESAs (Environmental Site Assessments) and conducting ACM (Asbestos Containing Materials), LBP (Lead-Based Paint), and Radon inspections. The Environmental Specialist I position will also complete fieldwork related to the collection of soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and mold samples. If the employee does not already have ACM, LBP, or Radon professional licensure, they will be expected to obtain licensure within the first year of employment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Conduct research, complete reviews, and compile reports
Site visits to complete field sampling, data collection, field equipment operation, and other field activities associated with environmental projects
With support and guidance from Senior Environmental Specialists, works independently on projects ranging from small to medium and assists senior staff on larger projects
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures

Some overnight travel within the United States and occasional nights/weekends may be required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or similar field. In the absence of a degree, equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
0-2 years’ experience in the environmental field
Required license/credentials based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity
Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and time management skills
Be organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in consulting
Both independently motivated and time oriented
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be capable of working while wearing a negative pressure respirator without restriction
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, on occasion
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions in outdoor environments
