Laboratory Analyst – The GEL Group, Inc.
Join us as a Laboratory Analyst at GEL Laboratories, LLC, an affiliate of The GEL Group, Inc., located in Charleston, SC. This is a full‑time day shift position. In this role you will perform complex analytical procedures with specialized instrumentation, primarily gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC/MS) of volatile organic compounds.
Key Responsibilities
Follow complex procedures involving operation and calibration of instrumentation while demonstrating consistent, reliable performance.
Complete data entry activities, including initial data reduction and review.
Perform basic troubleshooting of methods and instrumentation.
Review peers’ analytical data.
Communicate with internal and external customers (Project Managers, Clients, or Auditors).
Demonstrate and support GEL core values.
Conduct procedures that support other operations in the laboratory.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, preferably in Chemistry or Biology.
Minimum of one year of related laboratory experience.
Advanced math and computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience operating basic laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Demonstrates functional knowledge of GC/MS operation and analysis.
Exhibits organizational skills and attention to detail.
Availability to work a Monday–Friday schedule or a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
