Job Description The OR Registered Nurse provides services in surgical services departments. Patient care for surgical patients with acute, chronic, and/or terminal illnesses. Performs assessments based on the patient’s surgery, medical condition, and care needs. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care in the OR department. Circulating and preparing patients, managing equipment, assisting the scrub nurse and surgeon, conducting counts, and overseeing patient safety and documentation, maintaining aseptic technique and responding to needs outside the sterile field.
Requirements
A degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program
Clean and active MO/compact RN license; current BLS and ACLS
Minimum 1 year of experience as RN in an operating room/surgical setting circulating – required (open to labor and delivery as well)
