Adjunct Professor of Vocal or Instrumental Music
This adjunct faculty position primarily involves teaching individual and group instruction in vocal and instrumental music, supporting student learning and promoting the college mission.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Music or related field.
Professional performance ability in vocal or instrumental music.
Teaching experience in individual and/or group instruction.
Demonstrated positive human relations and communication skills.
Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
Flexible teaching style to accommodate individual learning styles.
Committed to helping students achieve success and attain a college education.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn computer programs used in the department and on campus (such as Moodle).
Organization and attention to detail.
Support and willingness to teach in a competency‑based instructional system.
Ability to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers.
Ability to work well as a team member in an instructional unit.
Ability to communicate and articulate concepts in an organized manner both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and understand content to assist students when they are having difficulty interpreting concepts.
Ability to interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students individually and in groups.
Ability to provide office hours and maintain communication with supervisors and department.
Must be punctual, reliable.
Physical Demands
Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds.
Frequent movement around the classroom and campus.
Operate a computer and other office equipment to prepare and edit documents.
Required visual acuity to judge, observe and assess accuracy and thoroughness of work.
Perform duties in an indoor classroom or office setting.
Job Duties
Provide quality instruction in courses agreed upon by the dean/director.
Prepare, deliver and assess learning activities and materials.
Maintain fair grading practices, timely responses to students and a positive classroom atmosphere.
Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.
Respond promptly to information requests from administration.
Attend required meetings.
Acquire new knowledge and skills as appropriate.
Maintain required professional license or certification.
Support the college’s vision, mission, goals, and priorities.
