Description As an Accountant at Impulse, you will create processes and procedures to prepare and maintain the accounting and financial records in accordance with US GAAP. This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. The role will require familiarity with internal controls and processes over all accounting areas.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Lead and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit documentation
Manage and improve accounting processes, controls, and systems
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Analyze financial results and explain variances to management
Coordinate tax preparation and filings with internal teams or external advisors
Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
Support special accounting projects and system implementations as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
3+ years of demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Infor Syteline, Coupa, or similar)
Preferred Skills and Experience
3+ years of demonstrated accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
3+ years of accounting experience within the aerospace, or new-space industry
Experience or coursework in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger support
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information
Progress toward a professional accounting certification (CPA) is a plus
Additional Information Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full‑time hires, you may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, in the

medical, vision & dental coverage
as well as
access to a 401(k) retirement plan .
