Weekend Mental Health Therapist Embark Behavioral Health invites qualified individuals to join our weekend mental health therapist team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support adolescents ages 12‑17 in our short-term residential program while earning clinical hours.

Location:

3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058

Hourly Pay:

$45 to $50 an hour

Schedule:

Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy including process‑oriented, psycho‑educational, and experiential modalities, with a focus on trauma‑informed care and adolescent development.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and consistency of care.

Prepare and reflect: plan sessions, document, and engage in professional development to maintain clinical excellence.

Engage adolescents, creating a safe, inclusive environment for exploration and growth.

Maintain timely documentation, completing clear notes and progress summaries within required timelines.

Model professional and personal growth, participating in ongoing learning and embodying Embark’s values of adaptability, empathy, and holistic care.

Support a consistent, therapeutic weekend environment, upholding a high standard of care.

Qualifications

Licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).

Prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain an NPI during onboarding.

Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence‑based practices.

Passion for counseling teens and young adults facing mental health challenges.

Ability to incorporate clinical diagnostics and assessments to monitor client progress and outcomes.

Experience in residential settings and relational, experiential, and systemic modalities preferred.

Ability to perform physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely during crisis situations.
