Weekend Mental Health Therapist – Embark Behavioral Health Location:

3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058 Hourly Pay:

$45 to $50, depending on experience Weekend Schedule:

Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Are you passionate about helping teens navigate their mental health journey? As a Mental Health Therapist at Embark Behavioral Health, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to support adolescents (ages 12‑17) in their healing and growth at our short‑term residential program. Every weekend, you’ll lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions, and use relational, systemic, and experiential modalities to help teens process emotions, strengthen relationships, and develop effective coping strategies. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy – lead sessions that include process‑oriented, psycho‑educational and experiential modalities with a focus on trauma‑informed care and adolescent development. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team – work closely with therapists, nurses and medical providers to ensure continuity and consistency of care. Prepare and reflect – allocate time for session planning, documentation and professional development to maintain clinical excellence. Engage adolescents with intentional practice – create a safe, inclusive environment where teens explore emotions, build skills and experience growth through weekend programming. Maintain timely documentation – complete clear, accurate group notes and progress summaries within required timelines. Model professional and personal growth – participate in ongoing learning opportunities and embody Embark’s values of adaptability, empathy and holistic care. Support clinical culture – contribute to a weekend environment of consistency, trust and therapeutic engagement, upholding a high standard of care. Qualifications

Licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) – provisional license encouraged. Prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI). Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence‑based practices. Passion for counseling teens and young adults struggling with mental health challenges. Ability to incorporate clinical diagnostic assessments to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes. Experience in residential settings and relational, experiential, and systemic modalities preferred. Capable of performing the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations. Benefits
