Full-time (37.5 hours/week) position located at the Kent office with responsibilities throughout Puget Sound. Travel required to meetings and client homes. Regular and punctual attendance required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of best practices in trauma-informed case management and supporting refugee and immigrant clients to achieve stability and empowerment in the community. Work with assigned clients to create and implement a strengths-based individualized self-sufficiency plan to expedite the stability and community integration of clients. Support and empower clients in their progress towards achieving short and long-term goals. Provide comprehensive, trauma-informed and linguistically appropriate case management to include advocating for and coordinating access to eligible benefits and community resources as well as medical and mental health care; facilitating employment and education opportunities; conducting home visits; providing transportation; and ensuring basic needs are met. Facilitate client cultural orientation to the U.S., increasing clients’ ability to independently navigate community resources and support systems. Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation for each case according to program requirements. Maintain information on community resources and develop relationships with other providers and professionals to facilitate referrals as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program requirements, policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within field. Experience working with other cultures and ability to effectively communicate with people who speak English as a second language and are not familiar with the systems in the United States. Repetitive heavy lifting is required. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items, including furniture, weighing up to 50 pounds. Valid Washington State driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable access to personal vehicle as well as ability to drive agency vehicles required. Familiarity with local community resources and systems in social service support programs. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse team and clearly and concisely communicate and collaborate with others. Demonstrated ability to self-manage competing priorities, pay attention to detail, and learn new tasks quickly. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs. Some evening and weekend work required. Overtime may be required during high workload periods. Salary and Benefits
The pay for this position is $30.26 - $36.98 an hour. 100% employer-paid premiums for employee medical, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, and employee assistance program. 15 annual vacation days increasing to 20 after 2 years, and generous paid sick time. Paid Federal holidays and 10 additional flexible floating holidays accessible throughout the year. 5% employer contribution to 401k retirement plan (no employee contribution required).
