Organize training to educate new staff or introduce new procedures and protocols.
Evaluate staff performance and provide corrective measures if necessary.
Ensure that patients receive high‑quality, safe, and evidence‑based care.
Assess, monitor, and care for patients.
Communicate with upper management regarding nurse performance, staffing issues, and changes to treatment protocols.
Assist DON with yearly budget for nursing staff.
Perform administrative tasks, such as creating staff schedules and ordering supplies.
Delegate staff responsibilities quickly and effectively during busy shifts or emergency situations.
Manage nursing staff at specified locations.
Assign nursing staff to patient care teams.
Coordinate with other staff to determine organized measures to best care for patients.
Act as a point of leadership for the healthcare team.
Act as a liaison for patients and families, providing them with updates regarding their care and treatment.
Perform typical nursing duties as needed.
Report to supervisor (DON) as needed.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
