BD Manager - Austria/Germany - CRO
CDC are proud to be working with a European CRO, focused on central lab services for both small and large molecules. We are looking to grow the commercial team in Europe and are looking for Territory Managers to hunt for new business and manage existing accounts for their assigned territory.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow business for the an German territory, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their research and development needs.
Present and demonstrate the company’s CRO services, highlighting value propositions and differentiators.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
Work collaboratively with internal teams (scientific, operations, and project management) to ensure customer satisfaction and project delivery.
Track and report on sales activity, pipeline, and market trends.
Attend conferences, industry events, and customer meetings to expand network and promote services.
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of business development or sales experience, ideally in life sciences, CRO, or laboratory services.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of drug development and research processes is preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus.
Ability to build long-term relationships and represent the company professionally.
