CLARK Material Handling Company, is a 100 year old company, and a global leader in the material handling and forklift industry. CLARK is seeking qualified candidates to join our team.
This position will be responsible for the overall management of the Accounting Department in the Flower Mound, Texas. Will be the key finance team member responsible for managing the U.S. monthly close process, assisting with SEC reporting, taxes and developing staff members in order to build scale and leverage to support a growing business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage an accurate and timely domestic accounting close including preparation and review of accruals and account reconciliations
Responsible for the preparation of Sales and Use taxes, as well as Tangible and Intangible tax returns
Responsible to maintain fixed assets
Responsible for leading accounts payable operations
Responsible for overseeing corporate and sales tax
Responsible for directing and coordinating the work of a number of accounting associates in all aspects of accounting
Prepare monthly financial and various detailed analyses.
Assist with SEC reporting and financial statement preparation
Provide technical accounting research and accounting implementation guidance
Drive continuous improvement of internal policies, processes and controls
Improve and develop internal financial reports
Work closely with public accountants during quarterly reviews and annual audit
Work on ad hoc projects for Director of Finance
Will be responsible for various special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of experience managing an accounting department
CPA Preferred
Proven supervisory experience
Superior experience with Microsoft Office
Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the US without sponsorship
Physical / Environmental Conditions The incumbent is located in an office environment with regulated heating and cooling. The position requires using a personal computer and monitor, as well as basic office equipment.
