Position Summary / Objective We are looking for candidates to fill a Supply Coordinator position at our Wallops Island, Virginia station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island requires support in management, engineering, operations, and technical expertise for the activation, operation, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs. This support is crucial for all Naval Sea Systems Command and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems missions and projects conducted at SCSC. SCSC offers live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric maritime environment, aimed at developing, testing, evaluating, and conducting fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

Essential Functions
Responsible for processing and coordination of needed materials to support the SCSC Wallops mission.
Managing inventory levels to minimize carrying costs and ensure demand is met.
Conduct cost estimating
Maintain and track inventory, equipment, and conduct physical audits of inventory.
Performing stock control functions in Navy automated supply systems.
Maintain relevant knowledge and proficiency in databases, policies, nomenclature, and procedures
Use analytical skills to identify supply system issues and implement policy-compliant solutions.
Required Education and Experience
Six (6) years of management experience, with at least five (5) years involving Federal Government Supply programs.
Proven ability to lead and direct challenging projects and execute assignments independently.
Demonstrated experience managing supply operations to include shipping, receiving, warehousing, delivery, inventory, mail operations, hazardous material, and procurement.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance Requirements Able to maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.

The employee must have the ability to frequently traverse stairs. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of times, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Attendance at pre-scheduled mandatory meetings is required. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your contract/location and must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.

Telework may be allowed up to 20%
Travel
This position includes a low level of travel – up to 10% may be required.
Ability to travel CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS
