DCA Cabin Dispatcher
Pay rate: $19.63 per hour (weekly pay sequence).
Location: Dulles International Airport.
Job Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt.
Shift: Overnight (RON) 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM. Must be willing to work Saturday, Sunday, and three weekdays for five consecutive days.
Note:
The onboarding process may take up to four weeks. Shift assignments are based on business needs and availability at the time of onboarding completion. While we strive to accommodate preferred shifts, availability cannot be guaranteed. Your flexibility will be appreciated.
Cabin Service Responsibilities
Create a work order for every customer that requires assistance.
Assign Team Leads to aircraft 10–20 minutes prior to flight arrival times.
Follow up with Team Leads to ensure the request is accepted, scanned and arrived in a timely manner.
Inform the on‑duty supervisor of any issues out of the ordinary that may need additional attention in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of call log and follow up to appropriate contact levels (1st call supervisors, 2nd call shift manager, 3rd call operation managers).
Simultaneously answer high volumes of telephone calls and dispatch information out to appropriate sources.
Demonstrate multitasking: answering incoming calls on the second ring, dispatching, maintaining call log documentation, and communicating with dispatch coordinator and shift manager.
Maintain service level agreements and response times.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co‑workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
Schedule and dispatch resources—team members, crews/teams, equipment, or service vehicles—to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios, telephones, and/or computers; determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or client requirements.
Ensure timely and efficient movement of resources according to work orders and/or resource schedules.
Oversee all communications within the specifically assigned area(s).
Receive or prepare work orders and work schedules.
Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work, or services performed, inventory, and other dispatch information.
Recognize and mitigate a variety of issues encountered within the department and other work environments.
Confer with clients and/or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for resources.
Monitor resources and utilization to coordinate services and schedules to achieve optimal efficiency.
Compile statistics and reports on work progress.
Monitor daily services and provide updates and reports.
Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
Basic Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of prior multi‑line reception experience or dispatching experience preferred.
