Job Summary And Qualifications
Position Summary:
The Scheduler will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to manage scheduling functions in Surgical Services departments. Key responsibilities include scheduling procedures, acting as a liaison to physicians, operating and maintaining the computer system, entering and maintaining daily charges and statistical information, and rotating to other surgical services departments as needed.
Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Education: High school diploma/GED required.
Experience: One to three years experience as a unit secretary or scheduler.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic to advanced computer knowledge; scheduling systems preferred; typing and word processing skills required; intermediate to advanced medical terminology knowledge; positive and professional communication with internal and external customers.
