Hourly rate:
£12.75 per hour with a £500 welcome bonus.
Shift patterns:
6‑hour shifts (08:00‑14:00 & 14:00‑20:00) and 12‑hour shifts (08:00‑20:00), including alternative weekends. Permanent positions with guaranteed hours.
Job Description As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will support residents to enjoy life at the Village and care home. Your daily duties may include:
Assisting residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, continence care) in their own homes and within the care home, preserving dignity and independence.
Supporting mealtimes, providing meals, assisting transfers, and using a hoist or wheelchair when required.
Encouraging mental and physical activity through hobbies, interests and village activities.
Responding to emergency calls when the care alert system is activated.
Collaborating with the Domiciliary Care Manager and external professionals (GPs, Chiropodists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists) as appropriate.
Maintaining accurate records, keeping full documentation of care given, activities and any health changes.
Key Skills / Qualifications We value experience in a care or dementia setting or a Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Essential attributes include:
Passion for caring, respect for residents’ choices and a focus on safety and wellbeing.
Excellent listening skills with an optimistic, confident, and empathetic approach.
Confidentiality, teamwork and the ability to set a positive example for the wider team.
