AEWR; US Workers: MO: $18.74 per hour; H2A Workers: MO: $17.46 per hour. All work must be performed during winter months where crop acres are dormant due to cold weather and short daylight hours. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers for managing marketing of grain from on farm bins:
Examine and inspect crops to ensure that quality and specifications are met
Sift according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality
Function and monitor grain conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards
Use augurs, suction gates, shovels, brooms
Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information
Discard inferior, diseased, rotten, or defective crops or foreign matter, and place acceptable products for processing
Monitor and report grain grades
Deliver grain to ports
Oversight of livestock including feeding and ice removal from water troughs
Remove snow and ice from farm buildings, equipment, and structures, clean equipment as necessary to remove salt, ice, mud and other debris by hand using hoses, power-washers, brushes, towels etc. and perform incidental repairs as necessary
Must be able to speak and understand English
