Overview

Area Manager I, Warehouse at Factor_ (a brand of HelloFresh) – Joliet, IL. This role supports the Joliet, IL team with warehouse operations and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic operations within the functional areas of receiving, shipping, storage / distribution of goods, and logistics.
• Direct activities and provide coaching and guidance to associates, leads, and supervisors.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure maximum productivity and align with company directives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP and SQF policies/procedures, and adherence to PPE/hygiene policies.
• Cultivate a culture aligned with HelloFresh core values.
• Maintain high internal and external customer service; investigate and correct customer issues and complaints.
• Manage the department engaged in essential warehouse functions to ensure high productivity and technical integrity.
• Perform internal audits and coordinate objectives with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Create and implement processes and procedures; relay quality philosophy to warehouse personnel.
• Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
• Design, develop and implement warehousing training programs based on quarterly performance reviews.
• Interact with procurement to ensure adequate supply of inventory and ingredients.
• Address nonconformities from internal and external audits; conduct management reviews of warehouse functions; follow up and close preventive and corrective action requests.
• Ensure documentation and design controls are appropriate for the organization.
• Assist the management team and provide support as necessary; provide employees with necessary tools, training and corrective direction.

Minimum requirements

• Associate’s degree or related management work experience
• At least 5 years of work experience in warehouse management, with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments as a manager and with customer satisfaction in technology-driven, developing companies
