Job Summary
The Learning Network Resource Teacher plays a pivotal role in advancing school improvement and instructional excellence across a network of schools. This specialist provides coaching, models high-impact instructional strategies, and supports teachers and leaders in aligning instructional practices to district goals, state standards, and research-based frameworks. The role is designed to ensure coherence in instructional delivery and foster a culture of continuous professional growth and collaboration across the network. Duties And Responsibilities
Collaborates with principals, instructional coaches, and teachers within the network to implement evidence-based instructional practices aligned to district priorities. Models effective teaching strategies through classroom demonstrations and co-teaching opportunities to support instructional growth and student achievement. Facilitates data analysis and instructional planning meetings to improve student outcomes and close achievement gaps, aligned with district goals and initiatives. Supports the development and implementation of professional learning communities (PLCs) and network-based instructional rounds. Designs and delivers targeted professional learning sessions, workshops, and follow-up coaching cycles for school-based instructional staff based on district goals and initiatives. Provides support for curriculum implementation, assessment literacy, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners. Supports the integration of district reform initiatives such as multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), literacy/numeracy acceleration, and content-specific instructional frameworks. Maintains documentation of services provided to schools, including coaching logs, action plans, and impact reports to support Network goals and district policies. Engages in continuous professional learning to remain current on educational research, curriculum innovation, and instructional leadership practices. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines related to instructional quality and program implementation for the district. Uses educational technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate professional development. Communicates effectively with school leaders and district stakeholders to support alignment and coherence across the learning network. Performs additional duties as assigned to support the district's academic improvement efforts. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Masters degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Valid Alabama Teachers Certificate; a valid Alabama Administrative Certificate preferred. A minimum of four (4) years successful teaching experience. Must meet Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements or a willingness to meet the requirements within the designated timeframe. Application Requirements
