US Trades is looking for a skilled and reliable
Mechanical Leadperson
to oversee and coordinate mechanical installation activities on site. This individual will serve as the primary field point of contact for mechanical subcontractors and crews, ensuring that installation work is performed according to plans, meets project timelines, and adheres to quality and safety standards. The Mechanical Leadperson will act as a liaison between subcontractors, site supervision, and project management to ensure a smooth and successful build-out.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the main on-site contact for mechanical subcontractors and labor Interpret mechanical installation drawings, layout plans, and manufacturer specifications Provide direction and support to crews regarding proper installation techniques and sequences Ensure mechanical systems (conveyors, platforms, AS/RS, etc.) are installed correctly and efficiently Coordinate with electrical teams, logistics personnel, and site management to align scope and work schedules Review completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project standards Report progress, issues, and field modifications to the site superintendent or project manager Maintain documentation related to installation progress and any issues encountered Attend daily coordination meetings and contribute updates from the mechanical side Monitor and enforce jobsite safety and housekeeping standards Requirements:
5+ years of experience in mechanical installation, particularly in material handling or industrial environments Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and plans Hands-on experience with conveyor systems, structural platforms, AS/RS equipment, etc. Excellent coordination and communication skills Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance requirements OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership with a proactive, field-focused mindset Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with multi-trade teams Physically able to walk the site, perform inspections, and assist as needed Highly organized with attention to detail and quality assurance
