Senior Environmental Project Manager
Location: Irvine, California Compensation: $150,000
$175,000 annually (based on experience, education, and location) About the Role: We're looking for a driven and experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead high-impact environmental investigation and remediation projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both the field and the officemanaging soil, vapor, and groundwater sampling, overseeing remediation efforts, and guiding multidisciplinary teams. You'll play a key role in mentoring junior staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional results for clients. What You'll Do: Lead environmental site investigations and remediation projects from planning through execution Oversee field operations, including contractor management and accurate sample collection Prepare and review technical reports, memoranda, and electronic deliverables Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and ensure compliance Assemble and manage project teams, providing technical oversight and mentorship Analyze data, manage project timelines, and ensure quality deliverables Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development Participate in proposal writing, client interviews, and contract negotiations Represent the firm in professional associations through presentations and committee involvement What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology (Master's preferred) 1015 years of experience, or 6+ years with a PG, PE, or CIH license California PE or PG license preferred, or ability to obtain shortly after hire Proven expertise in site investigation, remediation, and regulatory coordination Experience with vapor intrusion, risk assessment, or PFAS is a plus Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to manage field operations and mentor junior staff Skilled in technical writing, cost estimating, and project scheduling Why You'll Love It Here: Join a collaborative and supportive team based in Irvine, CA, where flexibility and professional growth are prioritized.
