IT Desktop Support Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, MI. This is an onsite, Contract to Hire position with a first‑shift schedule.
Pay Range: $16.00–$22.00/hr (contract basis). For the full position, the range is $18.00–$22.00/hr.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents for Windows and Mac operating systems and a range of applications.
Swap laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11; re‑image Windows 11 from Windows 10.
Assist users with logged IT incidents, performing problem analysis and implementing temporary or permanent fixes while escalating when necessary.
Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
Install and configure new IT equipment and upgrade software/hardware.
Resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners.
Maintain first‑class customer service, treating all customers efficiently and appropriately.
Qualifications Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support or PC Technician experience preferred. IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA) are desirable. The role is first‑shift and contract‑to‑hire.
