Managing Attorney
licensed in Delaware with at least 8 years of experience handling creditors rights matters, including foreclosure, litigation, and bankruptcy. This leadership role offers a flexible schedule, competitive salary, monthly performance-based bonuses, and origination incentives. About the Role
The Managing Attorney will oversee legal operations and team performance in Delaware, provide litigation oversight, ensure compliance with state and client standards, and manage a team of associate attorneys. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of the creditors rights space. Key Responsibilities
Lead legal performance and strategy in the state. Foster a team-focused, positive work environment with strong morale and retention. Set and communicate short- and long-term priorities. Liaise regularly with operations, executives, and legal teams. Monitor legal, regulatory, and ethical developments and elevate as needed. Provide litigation oversight, including case review, strategy, and trial readiness. Partner with paralegal leadership to ensure case workflow, billing, and implementation of changes. Co-counsel with other attorneys and outside counsel as needed. Attend or ensure coverage for hearings, conferences, and appearances. Lead or contribute to internal and external training initiatives. Monitor reporting and quality metrics within the case management system. Collaborate on goal setting and performance standards. Hold direct reports accountable for timely, compliant, and client-focused service. Provide regular coaching, feedback, and annual evaluations. Make compensation recommendations. Create a collaborative and supportive team environment. Minimum Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in Delaware. Minimum 8 years of experience in creditors rights, including work with lenders and mortgage servicers. Minimum 2 years experience managing attorneys. Strong knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, and court procedures. Experience with case management systems such as BKFS LoanSphere, Tempo, or Vendorscape preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word. Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work cross-functionally with firm leadership.
