OR Tech I
Job Overview A member of the surgical team, acting under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who works with the surgeon and RN in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibility before, during and after surgery.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an OR Technician training program
2 - 3 years of experience
Strong knowledge and ability to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
Must be able to make calls. Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
Certifications and Licenses Required
Certified Surgical Technician, required
NBSTSA Certification, required
Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements
7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Part Time
Alternating Weekends, holidays and call coverage
