Compensation
Pay Range: $18.66 per hour + a $1.00 shift differential (paid weekly)
Job Summary The packer’s primary responsibility is to support the manufacturing group by preparing boxes for loading, visually inspecting product, loading product, and stacking finished cases to ensure efficient, quality‑oriented production. Additional responsibilities include general housekeeping of the work area and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Prepare boxes for shipment and load product onto the production line.
Perform visual inspection of product and packaging to maintain quality standards.
Load product and stack finished cases efficiently and safely.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Support team goals and help meet target production numbers.
Physical Requirements & Qualifications
Must be able to stand approximately 10–12 hours per shift (12‑hour shift, 70 minutes of break time).
Reaching, handling, fingering and feeling are constantly required.
Frequent turning of the body from 0° to up to 180°.
Good eyesight essential for constant product inspection (both near and far, color vision and depth of field).
Frequent walking of up to 50 feet; occasional bending, stooping and kneeling.
Lifting up to 40 pounds (empty to full boxes, plastic liners, tape, cleaning supplies, etc.).
Willing and able to perform occasional pushing and pulling of items such as boxes, stands and machinery parts.
Work environment includes high temperatures (95+°F in summer) and noise levels up to 85 dB.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, proper shoes, gloves, bump cap). GMP requirements (hair nets, beard nets, hand washing) apply.
Qualifications
High school diploma preferred.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Flexibility to work overtime and off‑shift duties as needed.
Reliability in attendance to avoid disruption of the line.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
